Our goal is accuracy you can act on, which mostly means being strict about where a statement comes from rather than clever about how it reads. We separate clearly-sourced facts from general guidance. When we cannot confirm a specific number, deadline, or requirement from an official source, we link you to that source rather than guess.
Editorial standards
This site is published by an organization, not under a named personal byline, and that is a deliberate choice: we report the licensing process as an independent informational guide, and we would rather you trust our sources than a credential after someone’s name. - Every regulatory detail is checked against the primary, official source — the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB), the relevant Florida Statutes, and the Florida Administrative Code — before it is published, and the page names the rule or statute it came from so you can look it up for yourself.
- Anywhere this site states a fee, a deadline or a requirement, it carries a “Last checked” date — the day those figures were last put back beside the official source. It records a reading, not a guarantee: a fee can move the day after, so confirm anything time-sensitive with the source itself.
